After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, Dr. Matthew Richter will discuss recommendations with you. Treatment

After the doctor goes over the report he will provide a treatment plan which will include the best treatment plan to get you back to a better life. On your second visit, you will typically receive your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. Treatment is interactive with you so you can express any concerns you have about the style of adjustment you will be most comfortable with.

Wellness Program

Prior to leaving, patients will be instructed on a wellness program to be conducted at home. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire an overall wellness lifestyle, our wellness team will work with you to create good habits and routines that support your success. Every body is unique and different and therefore everyone requires a unique and customized wellness plan. The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control and stress relief.

Doctor Richter and his team are always very professional and courteous. I appreciate the friendly environment and quick service and treatment. I had an x ray assessment when I first went in, which followed with a thorough consultation, and they provided me cervical roller and sent me exercise I can do to go with my treatment package, as well as electro shock therapies. I'm only about half way through and my back and neck pain has relieved a lot!

Are there any side effects or associated risks?
During more than twenty years of use by healthcare providers all over the world, very few side effects have ever been reported. Occasionally some old injuries or pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days, as the healing response is more active after treatment.
How long does each treatment take?
The typical course of treatment is five minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. How often should a patient be treated? Acute conditions may be treated daily, particularly if they are accompanied by significant pain. More chronic problems respond better when treatments are received 2 to 3 times a week tapering to once a week or once every other week, with improvement.
How many treatments does it take?
This depends on the nature of the condition being treated. For some acute conditions 1-6 treatments may be sufficient. Those of a more chronic nature may require 10 to 15 (or more) treatments. Conditions such as severe arthritis may require ongoing periodic care to control pain.
How long before the results are felt?
You may feel improvement in your condition (usually pain reduction) after the very first treatment. Sometimes you will not feel improvement for a number of treatments. This does not mean that nothing is happening. Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt after 3 or 4 sessions.
Does it hurt?
What does a treatment feel like? There is little or no sensation during treatment - occasionally one feels mild, soothing warmth, or tingling.
