I write this email to offer encouragement, guidance and information in regards to the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization declared a pandemic on Wednesday last week.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 and have precautions in place to ensure a healthy visit for you to our office in the coming weeks.
We are taking appropriate precautions during this uncertain time to sanitize our office environment according to best practices outlined by the CDC task force for COVID-19, above and beyond our normal procedures. Also, employees feeling under-the-weather are asked to stay home until fully well just to be on the safe side.
If you are feeling sick with symptoms similar to the common flu or to those of COVID-19 (fever, cough, malaise, difficulty breathing), make sure you contact your family medical doctor immediately, and certainly be assured that we will be happy to schedule your vital appointments in this office for a time when those symptoms have fully resolved.
During several conversations with California Department of Public Health this week, we were encouraged that our efforts to maintain a sterilized patient environment were more than effective. They also encouraged us to keep our office open, as we are one of the few healthcare providers who treat neuromuscular and skeletal conditions and do not also see infectious patients.
Your health and safety are of upmost importance to us. Join us in praying for our nation and world during this difficult time.
We stay committed to your health.
Yours in Health,
Dr. Matthew Richter, D.C. and Richter Family Chiropractic
