How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Last Updated: September 22, 2026
Richter Family Chiropractic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with our practice, visit our website (richterfamilychiro.com), or receive communications from us.
We may collect the following personal information:
Contact Information: Name, phone number, email address, and mailing address provided when you fill out a contact form, call our office, or request an appointment.
Health Information: General health concerns or symptoms you share with us during consultations or on intake forms. Clinical health records are governed separately under HIPAA.
Communication Preferences: Your preferences regarding how and when we contact you.
Website Data: Standard website analytics (pages visited, browser type, referring site) collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Health information you give us as a patient is handled under HIPAA and California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act. How we use and disclose it is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices rather than in this policy.
Directly from you when you provide your contact information by phone or at an in-office visit. Through our website when you submit a contact form or request information. When you call, text, or email our office.
We use your personal information to respond to your inquiries and schedule appointments; send follow-up communications related to your health interests, including emails and text messages about our services, educational content, and appointment availability; improve our services and patient experience; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Email: When you submit a contact form on our website or otherwise share your email with us, we may send follow-up emails related to your inquiry or our services. You may opt out at any time by replying REMOVE to any email or by contacting our office directly.
Text Messaging — Prospective Patients: If you ask us to contact you and agree to receive text messages — by checking the optional text-message consent box on our website form, or by telling our staff yes when we speak by phone — we may text you about scheduling your first visit, including secure links to pay for your new patient exam and to complete your new patient paperwork, and appointment reminders. We record the date and time of your consent. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of receiving services. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Text Messaging — Existing Patients: If you are an existing patient of our practice, you may receive transactional and care-related text messages as part of our patient relationship with you. These include appointment reminders, scheduling messages, follow-up communications about your care, and time-sensitive updates from our office. These messages are sent under our established treatment relationship with you. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Text Messaging — Special Offers: We send promotional text messages, such as occasional special offers, only to people who have agreed to receive them. Consent to receive promotional text messages is never a condition of receiving services or scheduling an appointment. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, sold to, or distributed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This restriction does not apply to service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages (for example, our phone and patient-messaging providers).
Message frequency varies based on your engagement — typically 1–4 messages per month.
Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of all further texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact our office directly. Standard message and data rates may apply. Texts from our office are sent through RingCentral from (951) 817-9815; appointment reminders and occasional offers may also come from our patient-messaging service using a short code. Emails are sent through our email provider.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. Contact information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. Only authorized staff members access your information for legitimate business purposes.
We retain your contact information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, and opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, call us at (951) 817-9815 or ask at our front desk.
California residents may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected and disclosed, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under California law. To make a request, call us and we will honor it.
This Privacy Policy covers marketing and general communications. If you become a patient, your clinical health information is protected under a separate HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which will be provided to you at your first visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
